Key Purpose Statement
To manage the execution of the operational requirements of the warehouse in support of the logistics strategy in an efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring service excellence to other departments and customers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the operational team in executing all inbound and outbound movements.
• Oversee stock management and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure an effective and accurate production interface.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
• Protect and care for company assets within the team.
• Drive good product quality.
• Execute system transactions effectively and perform end-of-shift reconciliations.
• Implement activity-based resourcing.
• Handle people management.
• Ensure effective financial management of areas impacting warehouse and distribution costs.
• Leverage information systems to achieve Operational Key Performance Indicators.
• Ensure compliance with governance controls in all areas within the team.

Skills, Experience & Education

Experience

• 3 years of supervisory and people management experience.
• 3 to 5 years of warehousing or logistics experience, preferably in FMCG.
• Experience in an FMCG environment will be an added advantage.

Education

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent qualification in Supply Chain.
