Communications Manager
The Communications Manager at PRSK will play a key role in shaping the Society’s image and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field. Membership in a professional body (PRSK or Chartered Institute of Public Relations – CIPR) is advantageous.
- 5-7 years of experience in the Communications field.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Previous marketing management experience. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Familiarity with market research and consumer insights.
- Proficiency in digital marketing and media relations.
- Strong writing and editing skills. Project and budget management. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Internal and External Communication:
- Facilitate effective communication within PRSK, ensuring members are well-informed. Engage with key stakeholders externally, representing PRSK professionally. Communication Strategy and Brand Management:
- Develop and execute PRSK’s communication and brand strategy.
- Media Relations and Thought Leadership Monitor and manage media interactions. Craft opinion pieces, media interviews, press releases and statements.
- Secure speaking opportunities for PRSK. Event Coverage and Social Media Management
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of PRSK events. Manage PRSK’s social media platforms, website updates, content curation and monitoring. Publications and Co-ordination
- Collaborate with the editorial board for PRSK’s newsletter, journal and annual corporate report.
- Oversee other Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials.
- Resource Mobilization Support
- Contribute to PRSK’s resource mobilization ef- forts.
- Supervision and Appraisal
- Provide guidance and evaluate the Communications Officer.
