Health and Nutrition Research Intern position at World Vision

The Health and Nutrition Research Intern position at World Vision is a remote, part-time internship opportunity in the U.S., ideal for those pursuing or having completed a Master’s in Public Health. This internship provides hands-on experience in international health and nutrition research, focusing on improving child well-being through innovative health interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Research Support: Assist in research activities and analyze qualitative data from focus groups, interviews, and surveys.
Data Analysis: Gain skills in qualitative data analysis (using MaxQDA) and quantitative data analysis (using SPSS).
Study Participation: Engage in weekly study meetings, understand study protocols, and contribute to coding and writing up key findings.
Project Focus: Contribute to projects such as reducing adolescent anemia in Mozambique, testing a multi-diagnostic pulse oximeter in Burundi, and evaluating a laser height device in Cambodia.

What You’ll Bring:

Education: Enrolled in or completed a Master’s in Public Health or related field.
Research Skills: Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
Global Health Knowledge: Understanding of global health and nutrition.
Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to collaborate with international staff while maintaining cultural awareness.
Communication Skills: Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them effectively.

Internship Details:

Location: Remote (within specific U.S. states).
Duration: January 27 – April 25.
Hours: 20-40 hours per week.
Stipend: $800/month.
Eligibility: Must be 18 or older, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to commit to the full internship period.
