MEDİA COUNCIL OF KENYA MCK MEDIA INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT PROGRAMME

Cohort October-December 2024l

  • The Media Council of Kenya in partnership with recognized media houses runs a media industrial attachment that is geared towards providing journalism/media students with practical work. experience required for graduation and preparing them for the job market.

Duration of the Industrial Attachment

  • The attachment lasts for a period of Three Months (3) October-December 2024. The Council will provide a monthly stipend for the trainees’ upkeep.

Eligibility

  • Students pursuing degree or diploma in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, Digital and corpo rate communication, who meet the above require- ments are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Final year students from a recognized university or college.
  • Recommendation letter from the university or college stating the period when the placement is required.
  • Valid registration for Industrial attachment unit at College or University.
  • Academic transcripts for the current academic year.
  • Valid Student Identification Card
  • Valid MCK Student Press Card 2024
  • Any sample of journalistic work done before. Placement

Beneficiaries will be placed in recognized media outlets across the country under the following areas of specialization; Print, Broadcast Radio/Television, Technical/Production and Digital
