Kenya Red Cross Society Announces Multiple Job Openings

The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) has announced several job openings across various fields, aiming to bolster its workforce and enhance its humanitarian efforts. The positions are based in Garissa and Dadaab, and applications will close on September 20, 2024.

Laboratory Technologist (3 Positions)

KRCS is seeking three Laboratory Technologists to join their team at IFO 1 & 2 hospitals. The successful candidates will ensure the smooth operation of laboratory services, accurate processing, and timely dissemination of lab results. Responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day operations, maintaining medical laboratory equipment, and organizing blood drives. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science and at least two years of relevant experience.

Health Information Systems Officer (2 Positions)

Two positions are available for Health Information Systems Officers. These roles involve leadership in data management, improving data quality, and ensuring accurate reporting to county and national health information systems. Responsibilities include developing data management procedures, training employees, and preparing regular reports. Candidates should have a Diploma in Health Information Systems and two years of experience in data management.

Fire Safety & Security Officer

The Fire Safety and security Officer will manage the Fire Safety and Security department within the Dadaab Refugee Operation. Duties include conducting security risk assessments, developing emergency response procedures, and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. Applicants need a security or safety management degree and at least four years of experience in safety and security operations.

Clinical Officer

KRCS is also hiring a Clinical Officer to provide primary health care services at IFO 1 & 2 camps in Dadaab. The role involves clinical assessment, prescription of treatment, conducting ward rounds, and attending to medical emergencies. Candidates must have a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, be registered with the Clinical Officers Council, and have at least two years of experience.
