Management Sciences for Health Seeks Pharmaceutical Systems Advisor in Nairobi
Management Sciences for Health (MSH), a nonprofit international health organization, is on the lookout for a Pharmaceutical Systems Advisor to join their team in Nairobi. This full-time position requires a candidate with a strong background in public health, international development, or a related field, preferably with a pharmacist or medicine qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Develop and lead the implementation of the program’s technical vision and strategy for Pharmaceutical Systems Strengthening (PSS).
- Performance Improvement: Promote a culture of performance improvement and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the project’s technical approaches.
- External Representation: Represent the program externally, establishing collaborative relationships with USAID and other stakeholders.
- Evidence-Based Interventions: Facilitate the generation of evidence-based interventions at global, regional, and country levels.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure project activities comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and MSH policies, and take timely remedial actions to mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in public health, international development, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in managing or implementing international development activities in low and middle-income countries (LMICs).
- Of these 10 years, at least 6 years must involve pharmaceutical management or systems strengthening activities in more than three LMICs.
- Demonstrated senior-level leadership and competence in managing pharmaceutical management systems.
- Experience in change management and working with U.S. Government agencies, global health organizations, and international donors.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in other relevant foreign languages preferred.
