Safaricom Kenya, the country’s leading provider of converged communication solutions, has announced new job openings in the ICT and Telecommunication sectors. The company is seeking qualified candidates for Workspace DevOps Engineer and Frontend Web Developer positions.

Workspace DevOps Engineer

The Workspace DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting high-performance, fault-tolerant, scalable, and distributed systems. Key responsibilities include working in agile teams, automating infrastructure at scale, and developing innovative solutions to improve operational efficiencies. We are looking for candidates with a strong academic background in Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fields, and practical experience in cloud computing, programming, and data analytics.

Frontend Web Developer

The Frontend Web Developer will focus on developing and maintaining highly responsive and reusable user interface components using React concepts. Responsibilities include:

  • Translating UI/UX designs into front-end code.
  • Optimizing web applications for speed and scalability.
  • Collaborating with other engineers to develop well-structured architectures.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and at least three years of experience in frontend web development.
