Prudential Life Assurance Kenya Seeks Group Business Manager
Prudential Life Assurance Kenya (PLAK), one of the world’s oldest and largest insurance companies, is looking for a Group Business Manager to join their team in Nairobi. Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship Management: The successful candidate will identify and develop partnerships with new and existing intermediaries and alternative channels to achieve production targets. They will also be responsible for training partners on PLAK’s products and policies, maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, and ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Driving Sales: The Group Business Manager will lead the development of business strategies and plans, participate in business planning and budget setting, and identify new business leads. They will manage partner production targets and ensure efficient management of new business onboarding.
- Product Development: The role involves identifying product development needs, conducting market research, and providing market intelligence to support business growth. The manager will also drive the product development process from end to end.
- Loyalty Program: The candidate will develop and launch a loyalty program for business partners, ensuring regular communication and driving required production.
- Collections Management: Ensuring timely premium payments from partners and subsequent commission payments is a key part of the role.
- Micro-insurance Relationships: The manager will create business relationships with microfinance institutions and mobile telephony providers to grow the business and enhance premium income.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of insurance products and compliance regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Strong reporting skills and the ability to manage performance effectively.
