Anti-FGM
The Anti-FGM Board is seeking a qualified consultant to lead the development of a National Anti-FGM Safeguarding Policy. This policy aims to protect the rights of girls and women against Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) by establishing a comprehensive framework for safeguarding.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Collaborate with the technical working group under the leadership of the Anti-FGM Board.
- Develop a policy framework to support the rights of girls and women regarding FGM/C.
- Ensure the policy includes commitments to prevent harm, report and respond to any form of harm and abuse.
- Discourage all forms of violence, sexual harassment, social exclusion, and gender discrimination against women and girls.
- Provide a framework for FGM/C interventions in planning, budgeting, and implementation processes.
- Formalize and provide legal obligations for the protection of women, girls, and associates, ensuring compliance with funding partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in policy development, particularly in safeguarding and human rights.
- Strong understanding of FGM/C issues and gender-based violence.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and technical working groups.
