Resident Radiologist At Avenue Healthcare

Provide and ensure quality Radiology services within the Avenue group in line with the company policies and procedures.

1. Attend to walk in and referred patients who present to the Radiology Department

2. Offer radiology consultancy to all the doctors in Avenue Group.

3. Consult and collaborate with other clinical departments to develop, review, and ensure adherence to radiology protocols and standards to ensure proper and accurate radiological diagnosis and treatment.

4. Ensure quality of radiological images and reports and images providing diagnostic support for all clinical departments.

5. Ensure accurate and proper records of radiological investigations are kept.

6. Ensure timely and accurate review and reporting of radiological investigations

7. Communicate and discuss radiological investigations and the results thereof with other physicians in support of clinical decision making.

8. Provide technical oversight and mentorship to staff in the diagnostic imaging department.

9. Identify professional development gaps and ensure implementation of appropriate professional development, Continuous Medical Education and mentorship to colleagues to build capacity and exposure to best practice

10. In liaison with the Medical Services Manager, set, monitor and evaluate key performance indicators for the radiology department and ensure alignment with the Avenue Group strategic plan

11. Manage the radiation exposure to radiology staff to ensure that it remains within the recommended maximum limits.

12. Participate actively in the supervision and organization of the radiology department.

13. Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and morbidity and mortality meetings as required.

14. Participation in incident reporting, root cause analyses, clinical audit and Quality Improvement Plans as required

15. Maintain a positive work attitude and foster team work.

16. Ensure patient satisfaction through quality care, confidentiality, communication, feedback, escalation and demonstrated follow-up of patient’s concerns.

17. Support marketing activities and promote adoption of new radiological services to foster growth of the department.

18. Ensure that Avenue corporate governance policies are adhered to.

a. Prevent, detect and report any fraud or criminal activity

b. Timely review and implementation of audit recommendations

19. Ensure adequate knowledge of all Avenue policies, procedures and systems.

20. Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by your immediate supervisor in line with the job description.

1. Specialist recognition in Radiology

2. Master of Medicine in Radiology

3. Up to date BLS, ACLS Certificate

4. 2 years’ experience

5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

6. Attention to detail

7. Result Oriented
