- An IELTS score of at least five overall.
Applicants must be trade-qualified or have a comprehensive work history at a tradesman’s level for the metal fabricator and welder positions. They will work on various projects either in the workshop or on-site. Required qualifications include:
- A diploma or trade certificate in welding and fabrication.
- 2-3 years of pre/post-study experience.
- Similar requirements as the plasterer positions.
NYS Head of Employment Liaison Samson Kiptum emphasized the importance of these opportunities, stating, “If you are not qualified but can work at a tradesman’s level, you will need a recent and comprehensive work history, working as a fabricator/welder.”
The application deadline has been extended to September 3, 2024. Successful candidates will sign contracts ranging from 2 to 4 years or permanent full-time, preceded by a six-month probationary period. They will also be assisted in relocating immediate family members, although they will bear the costs of visa, pre-departure, air ticket, and medical examination.
